Busy day at the US Open for Fernando today! He'll start on court 10 at 11:00 am with his second round match against Gilles Simon. Then he will return to that same court with Andreas Seppi for the first round of doubles in the 4th match. ¡Buena suerte Fer!

Today is the first day of the final Grand Slam of the year. If you're there, go and cheer on Fer! He's playing the 4th match on court 8. VAMOOOOS!

edit: Oh my! After being 2 sets down Fernando beat Mathieu 3-6 1-6 6-4 6-3 6-3 in a strange match with so many breaks I lost count! Hopefully we will get some report of the match to hear what actually happened there! Anyway, well done Fer and best of luck for the next round! ;)

Andreas Seppi will be Fer's doubles partner for this US Open. They play Gabashvili / Karlovic in the first round.

It's a busy day today! Fer has made it to the quarterfinals of New Haven. First he beat Nieminen 6-3 2-6 6-4 and tonight at 7:00 pm local time he will play Blake for a place in the Semi Finals! Best of luck!

After yesterday's rainfilled day Fernando's first round match was postponed to today. He beat Spadea 2-6 6-4 6-2. Congrats! Up next is 6th seed Jarkko Nieminen. They play on Court 1 on Thursday, 2nd match. VAMOS!

The draw for the US Open was made today as well. Paul-Henri Mathieu will be Fer's first round opponent.

New Haven is about to start. Fer will be playing in both singles and doubles. In singles he's the number 12 seed and has a bye in the first round. Fer plays doubles with Nico Almagro and they will face the number 1 seeds Bhupathi / Zimonjic. Best of luck!!

After a comfortable 6-2 6-2 win over Volandri yesterday Fer will face Roddick today. The match will start not before 7 pm local time. Go for it Fer!!

Fernando is the 2007 Segovia Champion!!! Yesterday he beat Guccione 7-5 6-4 and today in the final Fer beat Alun Jones 6-2 6-4. CONGRATS !!!!!!

On to Canada now. At the Rogers Masters Chela will be waiting for Fer in the first round.

After a 6-4 6-2 second round win over Lacko yesterday Fer beat Ivo Klec 6-3 6-3 in the quarterfinal. On Saturday at 17.00 Fer & Chris Guccione will play for a place in the final. VAMOS FER!
