and 47 minutes Fernando beat the 4th seed, David Nalbandian, in straight sets!!!

No doubles today. Fer & Feli were replaced by 2 lucky losers. Let's
hope things are okay with them! It looks like Fernando is okay though, he's
scheduled to play David Nalbandian in the first match on court 13 starting at
12.00 noon local time. Go go Fer!!!!

Pfffffffff....... what a dramatic score! After almost 4 hours in the
twilight of London, Fernando beat Becker: 6-4 6-7(7) 4-6 6-3 9-7!

No rest tomorrow though... Fer & Feli are 3rd on court 16 for their first round of the doubles competition! Good luck!
And what a nice surprise to see our Fer playing in the mixed doubles as well!! With Spain's Anabel Medina Garrigues he will play Pavel Vizner & Sania Mirza in the first round!!!

Fernando just won his first round match! He beat Spadea: 3-6 6-4 7-6(1)
6-3. Well done! Up next: Benjamin Becker of Germany. They play tomorrow, 4th

Not a great start to the tournament! Rain washed out most of the day.
Let's hope tomorrow will be better! Fer's match has been moved to court no.5
as the 3rd match of the day.

Almost time for Wimbledon!!! The draws are out and Fer is back on the
courts again! He is seeded 28th and in the first round of the singles he will
play Vincent Spadea of the USA. Fer also entered the doubles competition with
Feli and they will meet the British duo of Colin Fleming and Jamie Murray in
round one.
Best of luck on the juicy green grass of Wimbledon!!!

Unfortunately, Fernando won't play Nottingham as planned; he withdrew from the
tournament. Hopefully he will be fit again for Wimbledon.

Oh my...what a strange match that was!!! Fernando lost 6-2 6-7(3) 6-7(3)
after being down 0-3 in that weird 3rd set! I'm so sorry he lost this one. But
I must say: well done Fer for not giving up and staying on court! Hope that
he will feel better soon cause he looked to be in pain. I wouldn't even consider
playing the doubles today... please take good care of your body Fernando!
And indeed Cermak / Friedl got a walkover. Best wishes to Fernando, get well soon.

Yesterday rain stopped play at 6-3 *5-5 for Fernando & Jurgen.
Weather permitted they shall finish this match today, 4th on court 10. Before
that, the 2nd match on court 10, Fernando must play his 2nd round match against
Lee. ¡Buena suerte!
The guys won their doubles match 6-3 7-6! Next up are Cermak / Friedl who will be waiting in the 3rd match on court 9 on Thursday. In singles things are going well also! Fernando won his 2nd round match against Lee 6-2 5-7 6-4 and will meet the Roland Garros Champion Rafael Nadal tomorrow, 2nd match on Center Court! It will be a tough one, but certainly not an impossible one! ¡VAMOS FER!

Another grass court match under the belt on the way to Wimbledon! He
beat Simon Greul 6-3 6-3. Well done Fernando!Next will be Hyung-Taik Lee from
Korea. But on Tuesday only doubles. Fernando & Jurgen play the 2nd match
on court 2.

He did it! Fer is in the main draw by beating Delic 7-6(6) - 6-3. He
plays Simon Greul of Germany in the first round. They play 4th on court 9 on
Monday. Good luck Fernando!!!!
This week he will also be playing doubles with Jurgen Melzer of Austria. They face the Czech duo of Suk/Vik in the first round.

Today Fernando will play Gilles Elseneer of Belgium at Queens Club
in London. He's seeded 1 in the qualifying draw.
